Located this one by star hopping from gamma Cyg, but could not see
any companion. When blocking some neighbourhood lights, and using averted
vision, a companion to the NE popped in and out of view. On checking with
SMP, this is the direction of the companion, but I am not convinced I actually
saw this one. No colour visible. My imagination perhaps?
Split this one this evening, found it by star hopping from gamma Cyg. I have logged this previously and was not able to see a companion, so it was great to be able to split it this time. It's a faint pair, PA about 50 degrees. Main component may be reddish. Companion is faint but distinct. Rather wide separation. Beautiful field around here in the binos.
