Not an easy one for me to
find, I am not so familiar with this constellation. Star hopped from Mel
111 open cluster to the NW, via 23 and 24 Com, and verified the target
by reference to alpha Com not too far away.
Very easy to split, brighter
component to S. 33 list shows separation 95", not a problem for my binos.
Not much colour discernible, but brighter component may be slightly orange
(check with SMP later showed this to be the case). Companion is TYC 1449-262-1.
Estimated PA 60 degrees?
