I checked this bright and
wide
pair out with 40x and 135x (40mm and 12mm both with 2x powermate). The sky was not dark enough to bring out colors very well, but A is obviously (bright-)yellow. This seems to be the only point of interest in this pair. I always wonder with this kind of doubles if they are real or only virtual. |

Should be
noted here that this star is from the Struve Supplemental catalog and confusion will result when we get to STF 27 in the fall. Anyway this wide pair is easy even my finder. Measured, 116.1 sec at 078.9 deg PA. ![]() |

An
easy and wide unbalanced
pair. The primary is very bright and yellow with gold hue, the
secondary is
quite fainter but well visible and seems white with slight yellowish
tone. The
field is rich of other stars. No rings visible. Extimated PA about 80 -
85
degree. Another double for small telescopes.![]() |

Again a wide pair, but its separation is exaggerated by the relatively high magnification used. Though wide, the pair offered a pretty color contrast of pale yellow and blue-green. | |||
