No
chance to split with the
26mm Plössel. With the 12mm RKE (167x) I could split, with a little black space between them. No colours. I was astonished how easy my scope splits Struve 381. Okay, I worked a lot on it (fans, etc.) and generally before I start with the observations I check the calibration. 26mm
Plössel (77x): I couldn´t
split.
12mm RKE (167x): Sometimes I think that I can see two stars for a short time. But than I can see only one star or they look like an eight. 8mm RKE (250x): See 12mm RKE. No webcam photo ! |

Another
difficult close pair, needed 3x barlow to split and then it was
only suspected in real time viewing. Found 20 good frames and measured; 1.03
sec at 108.1 deg PA.![]() |

Clearly
... not split at any
magnification with the 120mm. Far undersampled at 6 meters of EFL to try something on the frames. |
