This is the
real challenge of the list. Firstly, five components! Our
list has only four, must have missed one. Secondarily, great magnitude
differences. Finally, a real nutcracker in the AB pair, WDS orbit
predication
for this date is 0.428 sec at 255.5 deg PA. The AB pair was not seen in
real
time observing due to the poor air, but I found 6 frames of video out
of 300
that showed a split. The C star is difficult due to the closeness and
almost 4
magnitude difference, it seems a small orange mote next to the
brilliant
primary pair. The two distant stars are uninteresting, only faint. Measurements; AB 0.468 sec
at 248.2 deg PA, AC 5.2 sec at 358 deg PA, AD 100.75
sec at 081.5 deg PA, AE 130.2 sec at 191.5 deg PA.![]() Viewed the close pair
again in better air. Obvious split in real time,
nearly equal magnitude. This time in closer aggreement with the WDS
Orbit
catalog predicitions. Measured:
0.446 sec at 253.0 deg PA.
