Another
challenging triple, but the C star is not in Struve's list,
rather cataloged as FOX 146. Primary pair is a difficult, close unequal
pair,
four magnitude different! A star seems whitish and B is blue, C too
faint to
tell. Measurement: AB 3.99 sec at
020.7 deg PA, AC 56.21 sec at 272.4 deg PA.![]() |

Really a nightmare. I
looked at it too far after the transit and the
couple was too low in the turbulence. I spent much time trying many
settings
but the camera doesn't like these bright stars giving much of smearing
when
imaging at video rate. Too few acceptable frames to give a measurement.
To be
checked in better conditions. |

The little
companion could just be seen in the 12mm RKE. Very nice pair in an interesting star
field. No color.
