| Star: Struve 2049 Date: 7 July 2006 Time: 11:00pm to 12:00pm PDT Seeing: ~ 6 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Transparency: below average Location of site:Beaverton Oregon, USA, 45 28N, 122 51W Site classification: Suburban Conditions: 62F, dry Sky darkness: 3 <Limiting magnitude> Telescope: Takahashi FS-128 Eyepieces: 30mm Ultima, 12mm ortho, 9mm ortho, 7mm ortho, 6mm ortho, 5mm LE, Barlow Magnification: 35x, 87x, 116x, 149x, 173x, 208x |
11:10pm PDT Started getting
elongation at 173x. My best view was at 327x (7mm with barlow) during
brief
moments of stillness. Even at that I would only call it elongation with
some
definition but not exactly a figure "8". Perhaps two jiggly lumps in
an oval. (?) Ambience: Mostly still,
usual porch lights, tree's,
shirt-sleeve warmth, waxing gibbous moon. |
