9:56pm PDT. This is an
interesting one. Could not tell this was a double until I put in the 9mm
ortho. At first I didn't see the companion but then I caught it with
averted vision. After a short while I was getting moments of seeing with
direct vision. Next I tried some higher power but was only able to see
the companion with averted vision with those. Finally I put in my
highest power ocular (without barlow), the 4mm Tak ortho and what a
surprise, there was the companion again! Perhaps even more obvious
than in the 9mm. Now why could I use direct vision at 116x and 260x
but nothing in between?. Rather strange.
