I measured
this triple with the Micro-Guide and got averages of AB 40" in PA 300 and
AC 56" in PA 85. (Compare to the 1972 measures of 39" at 305 and
54" at 88.)
There was also a D component, of magnitude 10.4, just measurable with the Micro-Guide, and I found it to be 132" away from A in PA 92. I noted colors of White (B7V), pale blue (B6V), deep blue, and ???. This pair may be 670 light years away. If so, the system is about as bright as 169 Suns.

Magnitude Comment: Magnitudes seemed to be in agreement with listed values. Color Comment: The two brighter components are pale blue with the outer dimmer component somewhat yellowish. General Comment: At 60X I had to use averted vision to see the dimmer third component but at 114X all three were clearly visible. The three components were more or less in a horizontal line. It was great to split the first multiple star as part of the 33-doubles group. |
