Wide spread but with a lot
of magnitude difference. Easily split. The primary is a brilliant blueish
white, the secondary is more blue.

Bluish pair. Another pair in the same field threw me off; I had to check my sketch against Skymap later to see what I was looking at: SHJ 289, PA 57, Sep. 39.4", ~7.25' SW of Eta, (per Skymap's WDS info.) Double-double #3? | |||

An attractive pair cleanly
split at x60. Both stars seen to be blue.
Interesting that the mag. 8.58 secondary was quite considerably bluer than the mag 4.38 primary.

After observing some a bit
bored doubles from the list (the first ones excepting Vega and Struve 2372
Aa-B), finally I find myself observing a beautiful double.
The difference of magnitude
is clear and the main component has a whitish coloration, while the comes
appears to me as something yellowish. Near, another double appears (SAO
68003). Is always nice to observe another pretty double in Lyra!

Using a magnification of
X80 I found this double to have a blue/white primary with the companion
a slightly darker shade of blue. I estimated the companion to
be at PA 80deg . I found this double to be located in a very nice field of view. |

Like Theta was a cinch at

all about, including SHJ 289. A *** for the field

A triple star system with
a dim (mag 11.1), wide (161.5" at 151d) second companion. Two other
doubles are in the FOV. A third double is listed in WDS but was not
observed.
STF 2487ab Est PA.....080d
Two bright, almost equal
mag stars appear to the SW with an Est PA of 050d.
Two very dim stars appear to the east with an Est PA of 130". This is SEI 584 (mag 10.7/ 11.6, Sep 25.0", PA 117d). The three doubles STF 2487,
SHJ 289 and SEI 584 form a long flat isosceles triangle with 2474 at the
vertex and it's companion "c" bisecting the base.

This fine double is close
to Theta Lyrae and easily found despitebut dropping so far into the hazy
north that the eyepiece in my dob is close to the grass!
Comments: The Whitish blue primary has a contrasting dim Bluish companion wide while another wide and dimmer pair are found in the SE of the field at low power. Another delightful field.
