Comments:  Nice pair!  It is like the base of a Christmas tree with the tree being 10-12m stars to the WSW.  Nice effect!
First measure:  3.8" @ 234.  In 1912, Bowyer obtained 4.3" @ 218.
Secchi split B, finding a 9m star at 0.4" @ 70.  In 1912, Aitken measured this at 0.5" @ 102.
Rating:  2

Bob Hogeveen
Star: Struve 2481
Date & Time: July 8, 2001; 0:30 - 01.15
Seeing: 6 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Annen, The Netherlands (53 N, 6 E)
Site classification: Village-backyard
Sky darkness: 4 <Limiting magnitude>
Telescope: Meade SCT 8" f/10
Eyepieces: Ultima 30 mm, TV plossl 20mm, LV 15mm, LV 7mm
Magnification: 67x
Before getting a good view this pair gradually disappeared behind clouds. I only observed a faint pair at 67x with nothing special to mention. Reading Richards report  I decided that this pair will be the startingpoint of my next 33-Lyra session, whenever that may be...
Rating: 3

William Schart
Star: Struve 2481
Date & Time: July/9/01 0500 to 0635 UT
Seeing: 7 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Killeen, TX, USA
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 4 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: In the 80's F (30's C). Slight breeze.
Telescope: Celestar 8" SCT
Eyepieces:  25mm, 17mm, 10mm
Magnification: 80x, 120x, 200x
Tight but cleanly split. I tired high power to resolve the BC pair, but nothing doing.

Star: Struve 2481
Date & Time: 13th July 2001 2220 UT
Seeing: 7 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Near Halifax
West Yorkshire, England.
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 5 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: 14C
Conditions: Light W'ly breeze, 1/8 cloud
Telescope: Orion Optics UK GX250 10" f4.8 Newtonian on Vixen GP mount.
Magnification: x60, x133
Eyepiece: 20mm Plossl. 9mm Ortho
Close to Theta Lyrae this star was easily found. In the quite good seeing which  prevailed it was split at x60, but a much better view at X133.

Luis Argüelles
Star: Struve 2481
Date & Time: 21st, July, 2001. 21:00 – 23:05UT
Seeing: 7-8 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Transparency: 3-4 <0:worst -10:best >
Location of site: Quintueles, Gijón, Spain.  43º 32N, 5º 55W. Altitude: 20 m.
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 3.0 - 3.5 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: about 15º C
Conditions: A lot of haze and moisture. Seeing is rather good, but haze actuates like a light diffusor and that makes difficult observe stars fainter that 10
magnitude.
Humidity: about 90%
Telescope: Vixen 102 4" achromatic refractor
Eyepieces: 35, 10 and 5mm Baader-Planetarium Eudiascopics
Magnification: 100x
Harschaw Scale: 1-2 <From 1 to 5. 1 = Great, 5 = poor interest>
I must recognize that I specially enjoy from double whose components have about the same magnitude. Struve 2481 A-Bc is one of them, although a bit faint. The split is easy at 100x with direct vision under the local observing conditions. My words on it are: Pretty and small cat eyes!.

Eyepiece: 25mm Orion Ultrascopic & 14mm Orion LV
Barely but cleanly split at 72x. More interesting at 129x.
The two components appear to be very similar in magnitude.  No color noted.

Two nearly equal stars in a very busy field.  The double makes
the tail pipe in a delta fighter asterism...complete with probe on
the nose.  How's that for imagination?

Ambiance.  What can I say.  It was a great evening.  Cold and quiet but very nice.  A hoot owl was busy all night.  Most dogs seemed to be inside where it was warm.  A dog a few farms over barked the entire night.  Now and then you could hear a car wind through the gears on the back roads.
