Date & Time: 07/06/01  0703 UTC
Seeing: 6 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Lake Oswego, Oregon
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 5.0 in Lyra <Limiting magnitude>
Sky: Full Moon very bright sky
Telescope: 8 inch LX50 SCT
Eyepieces:  18mm Radian
Magnification: 112x
Est PA without inst...260d
Primary blue white.
Companion very dim.  No color noted.
Double is set in a busy but dim field.
I'm sure that the field would be much
brighter without the full moon.

A fairly faint pair, especially the companion, but it is readily apparent and split. The primary is a nice blue  and thesecondary too faint to tell.

Star: Struve 2441
Date & Time: 31.07.01. 2120 UT
Seeing: 7 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Near Halifax
West Yorkshire, England.
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 4.4 (U Mi) <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: 12ºC
Conditions: Variable cloud, Wind SW 5 kts
Telescope: Orion Optics UK GX250
10"  f4.8 Newtonian on Vixen GP mount.
Eyepieces: 20mm Plossl, 9 mm Ortho
Magnification: x60, x133

Easily split in bright twilight at x60, better at x133. I was a little surprised to be able to see the magnitude 10 comes with relative ease in these conditions.

No colour noted - too much light.

Philippe Dejocas
Star: Struve 2441
Date & Time: August 8 2001
Seeing: 9 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Canada
Site classification: Suburban
Conditions: Clean skies and warm temperatures.
Sky darkness: 4.5 <Limiting magnitude>
Telescope: 6inch/f5 newt

At 85x I got both cpn, the brighter one at about 6" - WWS/W (WDS: 6.0" - 267°), and the fainter one at about 2' SE (WDS 96" - 140°)
