Star: Struve 2419
Date & Time: 26 July, 2001, 00:00
Seeing: 6 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Annen, The Netherlands - 53N, 6E
Site classification: Village backyard
Sky darkness: 4 <Limiting magnitude>
Telescope: Celestron C-11
Eyepieces: Ultima 30mm
Magnification: 93x
Harshaw Scale: 2 <1-5; 1 best>
A nice and bright couple, beautiful view with the 30mm Ultima (93x), also because of the rich field. At the moment of observation the pair was orientated almost exactly vertical, which gave the view a bit of unnatural aspect. There seemed to be some colordifference between the components. The upper/northern star seemed a tiny bit more bright and somewhat yellowish. The lower/southern star looked (maybe a contrast-effect) a bit bluish.

Philippe Dejocas
Star: Struve 2419
Date & Time: July 28 2001
Seeing: 6.5 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Canada
Site classification: Suburban
Conditions: Clean skies and warm temperatures.
Sky darkness: 4.5 <Limiting magnitude>
Telescope: 6inch/f5 newt
Magnification: 40x, 85x, 165x

The relative faintness of the system's stars made for a more problematic resolution. 40x gave me a definite elongation S'. 85x gave me a double that made me work. I Tried 165x without much improvement.
