Glen Chapman
Star: Beta Hydrae
Date & Time: 18/03/02
Seeing: 7 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Sydney, Australia
Site classification: Urban
Transparency: 8 <Limiting magnitude>
Moon: 3 days old
Sky condition Clear though heavy humidity
and extreme night temperatures suggests faint high haze
Temperature: 27ºC
Telescope: 8" Dobsonian
Magnification: 360X

During a single moment of clarity, some evidence of elongation was noted. Reset the scope some five minutes later and achieved a similar result after a long stretch of  waiting. Plan on the next clear night to include another observers opinion of what he sees through my telescope.
