Transparency-- 8  out of 10
Limiting visual magnitude-- 4.5
Telescope: Celestron C-8
Eyepiece: 10mm Ortho (211x)

Magnitudes:  5.2 (F8V), 10.7 (K4V)
Sep/PA's:  93/53 (PA decreasing)
Year of last measurement:  1961
Distance (light years):  51
Luminosity (in suns):  1.7

Viewed with a diffraction mask, which only sharpened the image of A and was no aid in seeing C, which was so far away it needed no assistance.

The C star is very, very faint, though.  Here is a wonderful study in stellar spectra contrasts.  Boht stars are Main Sequence dwarfs, but the F8 star is 5.5 magnitudes brighter than the K4-- a difference of some 160 or so in brilliance.

I noted colors of Yellowish-white and Yellow.  The pair lies in a moderately rich field.
