This is one of the most southerly doubles in this constellation and lies near the foot of the Southern Cross. It can be found by hopping from Eta Crucis. 
 
Comments: This is a faint fragile pair of White and Light Blue stars 
easily split at low power. HS 3

Magnification: 50x, 75x 
 
Just split at 50x confirmed and clear at 75x. No real colour noted however bluish tones where noted in the primary.
 
Found at the mid point between Lambda Cent and The top of Musca (The little fly) There is little to encourage the observer to seek this star out. Of note is the nearby open cluster IC 2944, also know as the running chicken cluster. No I don't know the reason why.
