A
triple, but the
project has only the brighter pair. The B component is really dim, listed 11.8 in the WDS, but seemed fainter. Looked up and noticed that I could only see 3rd mag, fog had settled! Measured AB 36.61 sec at 057.8 deg PA, AC 65.4 sec at 167.7 deg PA. ![]() |

At 71x the wider (AC)
pair was
easy to split. I saw the components as white and blue. I could not see
the closer, dimmer B star at this power. Even though the AB pair is widely separated at about 35 arcseconds, I needed higher magnification (240x) to be able to see the white 12th-magnitude B star. |
