Primary pale blue. Had to use averted vision for
B, but the little
beast was definitely there. No color noted in B.

Date & Time: 21-October-2000 ( 20:24 UT ) Seeing: 6-7 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Location of site: Cheshire. UK 53° 15' N –2º 33' W Site classification: Suburban Sky darkness: 4.4 <Limiting magnitude> Telescope: 200mm f/6 Newtonian scope mounted over a Vixen GP mount (manual slow motion). Any Quoted PA or SEP using micro guide. Magnification: X120, X60
|
I observed this system using X120 where I found a white
primary star with a very faint secondary at the published PA. Averted
vision was required to observe the secondary so no colour could be seen.
Using a magnification of X60 though I could see the secondary using direct
vision but still no colour could be detected.

Easy to locate just off a line between gamma and beta,
at 84X. The primary shown blue-white and the secondary a "dirty"-white;
however this may have just been the effect from being dim.

Date & Time: November 15, 2000, 01:45 UTC Seeing: 8+ <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Location of site: Pflugerville, Texas, USA (30 degrees N.) Site classification: Suburban Sky darkness: 4.3 <Limiting magnitude> Temperature: 44° F. Telescope: 102mm f/5 achromat on Vixen Custom D altaz mount. Magnification: 23x (22mm Vixen SW) & 45x (22mm Vixen SW with 2x Barlow). |
The companion was quite faint but visible at 23x. Far
more easily seen at 45x. Primary seemed blue-white to me. No color noted
in secondary.
