Luminosity (in suns):  28
Eyepiece and magnification: 7.4mm (280x)
Colors noted:  W and R.

This pair was very difficult to split because the companion was so dim, and its red color did not help much in picking it out of the primary's glare.

It is the top star of a large triangle of 7th magnitude stars. Nice field overall.
I'd rate it a 3.

Seeing: 7-8 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>.
Location of site: Phoenix, USA
Site classification: Decidedly Urban
Sky darkness: 4 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: about 70ºF
Telescope 90mm ETX MakCas
Magnification: 125x

Just the slightest hint of elongation, but not enough to confirm. I didn't attempt 250x,. as it was too faint and the higher mag. would only blur it more.

I spent another 30 minutes enjoying some obvious views of the Double Cluster, The Pleades, Jupiter, and Saturn.  It's been a long summer for us here in Arizona, even the old timers were complaining how long the crud lasted this year.  It felt wonderful to get out, even if it was in my own backyard.  Of course, the club outing is tonite, and low and behold, Ma Nature cranked up her cloud machine after I packed it in.  Hopefully next Sat. will release the magic necessary for some great dark observing....

Magnification: 32x, 48x, 72x, 120x, 98x (Microguide)

A very tight pair, the primary appeared blue and the secondary was too faint to tell. It popped in and out of view as I looked at it. This was too tough to attempt any measurement.

This is located in a triangular asterism of theta, rho, and sigma. Not split at 32x, I suspected a bit of elongation at 48x, but not confirmed until I reached 120x. I also tried the barlow for 144x and 240x but the seeing wasn’t very good. The pair as a whole seemed B/W.
