980 ft above Mean Sea Level
Date of observations (UT): Nov 2, 2000 at 2330
Site classification: suburban
Sky conditions
seeing--  8 out of 10 (at times, approaching 9)
transparency-- 7 out of 10 (high, thin and spotty clouds, taking perhaps 1magnitude from the starlight)
limiting visual magnitude-- 4.0 mag
Telescope: Celestron C-8
Eyepiece: 20mm, 104x

Year of first measurement:  1831, 5.2 / 127
Year of last measurement:  1993
Distance (light years):  810
Luminosity (in suns):  60
Eyepiece and magnification:  20mm, 104x
Colors noted:  Both W.
If it were brighter, I would give it a "1", but as it is, I rated it a 2.
The field is fairly rich and bright here too.

Seeing: 5 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Lake Oswego, Oregon
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 3.5 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: 39F
Telescope: 8 inch LX50 SCT
Eye Piece(s): 18mm Radian
Magnification: 112x

Est PA 100d or 280d
Equal magnitude.  No observed color. A thin, wispy ground fog starting to form.
Seeing starting to deteriorate and wouldn't support anything higher than 112x.

Double set in sparse field of many identical stars. Fortunately, I picked the right one to examine the first time out.

Star: Struve 154 (ADS 1374)
Date & Time: 3, November, 2000 (22 h 00 m UT)
Seeing: 7.5 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Location of site: Posadas (Córdoba), Spain
37º 48' N - 5º 08' 30" W
100 mts over sea level
Site classification: Suburban
Sky darkness: 5.6 <Limiting magnitude>
Temperature: 7ºC
Telescope: Helios 120 mm f/8.3 achromatic refractor
Eye Piece(s): Plossl 20 mm, Plossl 10 mm, Microguide 12.5 mm, 2x Barlow, diagonal prism

The field is very rich. I could split this pair cleanly at 50x. Best view at 100x (Plossl 10mm). Both components seemed pale cream colour. Measured the double with Microguide and Barlow 2x at 263x I arrived at an average from 5 measurements of 5"4 arcsecs of separation and PA of 127º1.
