Equal magnitude. No observed color. A thin, wispy ground fog starting to form. Seeing starting to deteriorate and wouldn't support anything higher than 112x. Double set in sparse field of many identical stars. Fortunately, I picked the right one to examine the first time out.

Date & Time: 3, November, 2000 (22 h 00 m UT) Seeing: 7.5 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Location of site: Posadas (Córdoba), Spain 37º 48' N - 5º 08' 30" W 100 mts over sea level Site classification: Suburban Sky darkness: 5.6 <Limiting magnitude> Temperature: 7ºC Telescope: Helios 120 mm f/8.3 achromatic refractor Eye Piece(s): Plossl 20 mm, Plossl 10 mm, Microguide 12.5 mm, 2x Barlow, diagonal prism |
The field is very rich. I could split this pair cleanly
at 50x. Best view at 100x (Plossl 10mm). Both components seemed pale cream
colour. Measured the double with Microguide and Barlow 2x at 263x I arrived
at an average from 5 measurements of 5"4 arcsecs of separation and PA of
127º1.
